Clarendon Businessman Charged After Allegedly Pulling Gun During Dispute

A 44-year-old businessman from Bushy Park, Clarendon, has been charged following an alleged altercation in which he reportedly drew his licensed firearm and threatened another man.

The accused, David Morris, of Central Avenue, has been charged with assault at common law, use of a firearm to commit a felony, assault occasioning bodily harm, and malicious destruction of property.

According to police reports, around 1:30 p.m., Morris became involved in a dispute with another man. During the confrontation, he allegedly physically assaulted the man, tearing his shirt in the process. It is further alleged that Morris brandished his licensed firearm, pointed it at the man, and issued threats.

The incident was reported to the police, prompting an investigation. Morris was subsequently arrested and charged.

A court date for his appearance is yet to be determined.
