A 28-year-old taxi operator from St. Thomas has been charged following the alleged discovery of an imitation firearm in his car.
The accused, Rushawn Bryan, was taken into custody during a police operation conducted by the Morant Bay Police on Sunday, October 11, along Moodie Lane in Seaforth.
Reports indicate that around 1:15 p.m., lawmen observed Bryan sitting in the back seat of his Toyota Probox. He was accosted, and a search of the vehicle was carried out. During the search, the police reportedly found an imitation gun.
Bryan was immediately arrested and later charged following a question-and-answer session on Sunday, October 19.
Police say arrangements are now being made for his appearance in court.
