Six Shot in Drive-By Attack in Central Kingston — Children Among the Injured

Six people, including two nine-year-old children and two teenagers, were shot and injured during a drive-by shooting in central Kingston on Tuesday night.

Police reports indicate that the attack took place at the intersection of Text Lane and Charles Street, where a group of residents had gathered. Armed men reportedly drove up, opened fire indiscriminately, and sped away from the scene.

All six victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The two nine-year-old girls and a 17-year-old boy were treated and released, while an 18-year-old and two adults were admitted.

Head of the Kingston Central Police Division, Superintendent Beresford Williams, confirmed that investigators are maintaining a strong presence in the area as they work to identify and apprehend the attackers.
