Reggae Boyz reclaim Group B lead with dominant 4–0 win over Bermuda

Jamaica stormed back to the top of Group B in the Concacaf final round of World Cup qualifying with an emphatic 4–0 victory over Bermuda at the National Stadium in Kingston on Tuesday night.

After a setback against Curaçao in the previous round, the Reggae Boyz bounced back in commanding fashion, moving to nine points, one ahead of Curaçao. Trinidad and Tobago sit third on five points, while Bermuda remain without a point and have been eliminated from contention.

Earlier in the day, Trinidad and Tobago held Curaçao to a 1–1 draw at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad, opening the door for Jamaica to reclaim the lead.

The Boyz dominated from the outset, racing to a 3–0 halftime lead before substitute Dujuan Richards, who replaced Kaheim Dixon in the 62nd minute, added a fourth in the 76th minute to seal the result.

Jamaica’s early onslaught featured three goals in an 11-minute span. Bermuda defender Dante Leverock turned a header into his own net in the 24th minute, followed by strikes from Bobby Reid in the 26th and Shamar Nicholson soon after.

Winger Renaldo Cephas played a pivotal role, using his pace to outmaneuver the Bermuda defense and provide the assists for both Reid and Nicholson.

Richards, a late call-up replacing injured forward Demarai Gray, capped the performance with a dazzling solo run—dribbling through half the pitch and beating three defenders before calmly slotting home Jamaica’s fourth goal.
