The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is once again urging Lawrence Sergeant, the father of 13-year-old Shantina Sergeant, to turn himself in to assist with investigations into her death.

Sergeant has not been seen since the partially burnt body of his daughter was discovered behind their family home in Baillieston, Clarendon, on Monday.

Police have since named him a person of interest in the case and are appealing for him to surrender immediately to the nearest police station.
The renewed call came from Superintendent Carey Duncan, head of the Manchester Police Division, who addressed the matter during Thursday’s sitting of the Manchester Municipal Corporation.
