A 23-year-old construction worker was killed in a tragic crash along the Drax Hall main road in St. Ann on Friday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Kevon Anderson of Farm Pen, Pembroke Hall, in St. Mary.
Reports from the police indicate that around 3:50 p.m., Anderson was riding his motorcycle eastbound along the main road when he attempted to overtake a line of traffic. During the maneuver, a motor car reportedly veered into his path, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle.
Anderson was thrown from the bike and slid into the right lane, where he was run over by an oncoming trailer truck.
He was later pronounced dead at the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital.
Police are continuing investigations into the incident.
