Manhunt launched for courier driver accused of stealing up to $20 million

Police have launched a manhunt for a courier company employee who allegedly made off with between $15 million and $20 million in cash from one of the company’s trucks over the weekend.

Reports indicate that the suspect, a driver attached to the courier service, was part of a three-member team assigned to collect cash from the MegaMart store on Waterloo Road in St. Andrew last Saturday.

According to sources, while his two colleagues went inside the store, the driver remained in the vehicle. He reportedly removed his uniform, left his firearm behind, and then fled the scene with the cash.

Investigators later conducted a raid at his home in Linstead, St. Catherine, but he was not found.

It is understood that the St. Andrew Central Police Division is aware of the incident, although a full report from the company has not yet been submitted to law enforcement.
