Pierre Rogers and Kevin Powell to be appointed King’s Counsel

Two distinguished members of Jamaica’s legal fraternity are set to be elevated to the inner bar on Tuesday.

Kevin Powell, former president of the Jamaican Bar Association, and attorney Pierre Rogers will be formally appointed King’s Counsel (KC) in recognition of their outstanding service to the legal profession and the administration of justice.

The King’s Counsel designation represents the highest professional honour within Jamaica’s legal system, reserved for attorneys who have demonstrated exceptional skill, integrity, and leadership in the practice of law.

The appointment ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. at the Supreme Court in downtown Kingston.
