A member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is facing charges of reasonable suspicion of complicity and possession of an imitation firearm following an incident at an event in St. Ann on Sunday night.
Reports indicate that around 10:25 p.m., the constable, who is stationed in St. Catherine, was attending an event at Plantation Cove when he was seen in the company of several men running toward a motorcar carrying a table.
Law enforcement officers on duty at the venue approached the group and conducted a search of the vehicle. A further search of the constable reportedly uncovered a black imitation firearm.
The policeman and the six other men were subsequently taken into custody as investigations continue.
