St. Catherine, Jamaica — A 64-year-old man is recovering in hospital after he was shot by a masked gunman in the Colbeck district of Old Harbour on Tuesday evening.
According to reports, around 6:45 p.m., the man had just exited a taxi and entered a business establishment along the Colbeck main road when he was ambushed.
The attacker, who was reportedly wearing a mask, opened fire, hitting the elderly man in the upper body before fleeing the scene on foot.
Residents raised an alarm, and the injured man was transported to the hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
The Old Harbour police have since launched an investigation into the shooting.
