Police in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a woman’s body stuffed inside a suitcase on Saturday.
The grim find was made in a gully in the area known as Gully Banks. The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Kerrian Malcolm, of Barracks Road, Savanna-la-Mar.
According to reports, Malcolm had been reported missing on Thursday after last being seen at her home around 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday. At the time, she was reportedly dressed in a brown sleeveless blouse and blue and white shorts.
Police and forensic teams were called to the scene following the discovery, and investigations are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding her death.
